SUPERIOR FUEL FLOW SYSTEM
The PowerBowl's design greatly improves every aspect of your carburetors's ability to deliver
fuel evenly and consistently. It's smooth inner surfaces and perfectly matched fuel passages
eliminate air cavitation and accelerate fuel delivery. The PowerBowl is a completely integrated
design, the accelerator pump is also reconfigured, the maximization of both bowl and pump
create a whole new level performance through efficiency.
During hard landings and square edge impacts, the production Keihin carburetor design, allows fuel to splash
away for the main and pilot jet chamber. Jets temporarily exposed to air pockets, will cause any engine to misfire,
commonly knows as "BOG"
The R&D Power Bowl, is designed with the new ''ZERO TOLERANCE JET CHAMBER''.
This new design redirects fuel during hard impacts, creating maximum fuel exposure during extreme conditions,
eliminating the possibility of fuel evacuation around the main and pilot jet area, completely eliminating the possibility
R&D's ANTI-CAVITATION accelerator pump is state of the art, designed with two separate fuel ports. Port one,
is positioned at the HIGHEST point in the A/P chamber, allowing entrapped air to escape through the leak jet orifice.
Port two, is isolated LOW in the fuel sump, assuring 'FUEL ONLY' into the venturi, unique to R&D's A/P design, and is
the key to our superior performance.
PUSHING THE ENVELOPE
With all the new advances in the ''R&D POWER BOWL'', we also included an externally adjustable leak jet for fine tuning,
it's just a quick and easy hand adjustment. The ball check valve has also been redesigned, relocated at the bottom
of the pump cover for a more consistant fuel supply. The stock steel ball in the check valve has also been replaced
with a light weight nylon ball, for an improved responce time during hard landing and extreme impacts.
