ProTaper is the original taperwall handlebar and the choice of many off road, motocross, SX, Freestyle and Supermoto champions world wide. ProTaper handlebars offer superior strength to a traditional 7/8" aluminum or steel handlebars and can take a pretty good spill without bending.

ProTaper offers 2 different taperwall handlebars. The Contour line and the EVO line. Both bars are the no-cross bar design with a 1 1/8" or oversize mounting surface. The taperwall design provides great strength and durability without sacraficing flex.

The Pro Taper Contour handlebar is one of the strongest oversize 1-1/8” handle bars on the market. The Contour offers a variety of bar bends to choose from and four color options: Silver, Gold, Black and Platinum. Check our bar bend chart for dimensions and applications.

Handlebars are a critical part of bike setup and everybody has different preferences. There are a few basic things to consider when setting up a bike with new bars. These are just observations we have made since we deal alot with setting up the controls. Remember everybody has a different preference.

1. Height of the rider (taller riders usually need taller bars or bar positions)

2. Type of riding (depending on where you ride woods, desert, moto etc. Woods riders tend to sit more and may prefer a bar with more sweep. Desert riders stand and sit both and a neutral sweep bar may be a better choice. Moto riders tend to stand in the attack position more and a bar with less sweep "straighter" might be a better choice.
